How does it work?
It's a giant singalong! Doorstep Carols 2022 will be broadcast on local radio stations across the country and BBC Sounds on Wednesday, December 14th at 6pm and carols sheets & music are available to download from our Music page.

If you would like to organise your own street or community group and do your own linked event, then that's great too! It's completely FREE to take part and all of our materials are FREE to use too.

What you need to know
Thank you for helping to organise your street or community in Doorstep Carols 2022. With your help, we'll get the whole nation singing together!
Let your neighbours know the time and date (Wednesday, December 14th, 6pm) & invite them to download the words and sing or play along to your local radio station or listen via BBC Sounds.
Find our project resource pack here, including invitations, imagery and logo, flyers for social media channels, websites etc
What'sApp groups are a great way to get your neighbours involved. Why not organise a street party? Go to town with fairy lights, firepits or amps on the village green?!
⭐If your local radio station is not yet listed here contact them to make sure they know you're keen!
HELP SPREAD THE WORD
You can play a huge role in making this a success!You could share our poster with a community social media group, email it to your contacts, stick it on your local noticeboard, ask your local schools to share it, or encourage friends & neighbours to display it in their front windows.
Send us videos to let us know you're joining in, so we can use them on social media to help encourage more people to sing.

Instruments create a wonderful atmosphere in your street and it's a great way to get the kids involved. Everyone can have a go and we have easy parts for everything from recorders to ukuleles. Start learning the notes now!

pick a charity
Doorstep Carols 2022 will be supporting Alzheimer's Society and you can DONATE HERE before your sing. Donations are optional, but it will be great to raise money for good causes whilst we sing!
You could also arrange bucket donations in your street, or set up a Just Giving page in your area in support of charities close to your heart.
send reminders
In the week of December 14th - send out reminders to your neighbours so no-one forgets to join in!
On THe NIGHT!
Weds Dec 14th, 2022 - 6pm-7pm
Download the words and sheet music from this website and tune in to the radio to sing and play along!
It's best if everyone tunes in using FM frequencies. You can also listen via BBC Sounds if your local station is not joining in. If you decide to listen via the internet, there may be a delay.
Sing your hearts out!Take lots of photographs and videos of your street singing and tag us on Facebook and Twitter @DoorstepCarols or send them in for us to share for you.
