DOORSTEP COMMUNITY AMBASSADORS – WIN a FREE meal for a family of four!

Favourite restaurants across Shrewsbury have clubbed together to offer free family meals to Doorstep Carollers who have had a hard time during lockdown.

Whilst you are singing Carols on the Doorstep Zoom1hr has pledged to deliver 20 free family-sized meals across town from a host of eateries to worthy winners, nominated by you!

Nominations for our ‘Doorstep Community Ambassadors’ might include those who have suffered financial or personal loss during the health crisis, or those who have gone out of their way to support others. They might be keyworkers who have answered the call of duty, or employees who have shouldered huge loads whilst colleagues were furloughed.

Kevin Williams, of Zoom1hr, who is sponsoring Doorstep Carols, said: “After the dreadful effects of Covid-19 in 2020, we believe we can provide some much needed cheer to those who have suffered the most this year.

“Supported by our partners, we are asking for nominations from the good people of Shrewsbury for people who should win a free meal, delivered on Wednesday, December 16, during the Carol singing.

“We are specifically looking for families or couples who have been directly affected by Covid, whether due to employment, health or any other legitimate reason.

“Applications should be made via the website doorstepcarols.co.uk  and will be reviewed on Thursday, December 10, with arrangements made with the winners and stores leading up to the event.”

Nominations can be made, in no more than 150 words, via doorstepcarols.co.uk or emailed to [email protected] and received by December 10.  Winners will be notified by email on or before December 14th with prizes delivered on Wednesday, December 16th from 6-7pm.
